The solution
Transitioning toward Hyperautomation (Gartner) is the future objective in the evolution of Enterprise Architectures. The industrial-scale realization of IoT platforms and data lakes, coupled with the integration of Edge computing orchestration components and tools, have now made key business processes “sentient,” i.e., capable of being conditioned by external or intrinsic variables related to asset operational states, equipment, and facilities. The next step will be to make processes cognitive and intelligent, capable of understanding the context and interacting with it to maximize strategic and operational objectives. How do Enterprise Architectures need to evolve to reach these levels of advancement? What path do companies need to take to align with Hyperautomation? Communication channels based on perception and natural language, cloud-native and proprietary third-party AI and AIoT microservices, the automatic distribution and governance of microservices, inner process automation, robotic and application automation technology, and AL/MLOps environments for data manipulation, as well as testing and piloting microservices are just some of the new architectural elements that companies wishing to align with technological evolution will need to introduce and govern.
