A new proprietary module makes available an applicative framework that can manage RFID technology, key to employ the wireless and mobile channels.

Click Reply™, Reply’s platform for Supply Chain Execution, has been enhanced with the addition of a new proprietary module, named "Click Reply RFID Layer", making it easier to integrate and manage a wide range of tag reading and writing devices based on RFID technology.

Reply was one of the first companies to invest on RFID technology in Italy, aiming to provide a complete and integrated offer: from consulting to review operative process, to the development of a specific methodology, up to the definition of an applicative framework - Click Reply RFID Layer – able to simplify the system integration activities.

The architecture of this solution, entirely service oriented and based on open standards, allows the integration with systems both ERP and of SCE and MES.

In particular, Click Reply RFID Layer relies on four main components which manage the whole interaction with reades and RFID tags:

  • Event Handler, for the event management, retrieval and dispatching.
  • Task Manager, handles operative processes, activating and controlling the integrated transactional systems.
  • Monitoring, manages exceptions and alarms.
  • Field Interface, provides an option for hooking up different TAG readers and takes care of data "cleaning".

The availability of an applicative framework that can manage RFID technology enables the combined employment of wireless and mobile technologies to manage and control the Supply Chain, making the TAG RFID information applied to products, cases, pallets or containers available in real-time.
