Forge Reply, the Reply Group company that specialises in the development of games for mobile devices, smartphones and tablets, and in helping businesses implement new ways of communicating and relating digitally, has partnered with Daikin, the Japanese multinational world leader in air conditioning systems. The two companies have developed and launched the Daikin YEAR app, an augmented reality calendar that facilitates seamless interaction with its users throughout the year.
The Daikin calendar is a regular tradition for the company. However, this year, in order to provide a completely innovative digital experience for its users, the app was enhanced and has become more engaging thanks to the introduction of the augmented reality technology. Users have the ability to interact with the calendar, thus discovering the latest content it has to offer.
Forge Reply partnered with Daikin, making available all its expertise in Augmented Reality and App Design. Forge Reply's graphic designers and developers combined their skills to support Daikin's graphic designers in the creation of markers that allow the calendar to come to life and to launch the Daikin YEAR app. Thanks to the Daikin YEAR app users are able to interact with the calendar on their device and to discover, each month, the latest Daikin innovations.
With the Augmented Reality functionality provided by the Daikin YEAR app, through the images made available by the 2016 Daikin Calendar, users can view digital content such as videos and 3D figures, e-catalogues, Web pages or specific advertising pages that are dedicated to the Daikin world. Currently, three unlocked content areas are available. In the first, Pichonkun, the famous Daikin dew droplet icon, introduces the calendar, while in the second area, a theme connected to the month of January has been captured, where users have the chance to enjoy Pichonkun’s skiing adventures. To discover the theme connected to the month of February, download Daikin YEAR app and focus the 2016 Daiking Calendar. The content is only available towards the beginning of the month, thus keeping users engaged throughout the year.
Daikin is providing users with an entirely new experience with the help of Forge Reply, which has already partnered with the company in the implementation of the Daikin 3D app. A digital and enhanced experience designed to keep the interest and attention of the user alive while discovering new content which Daikin makes available over the course of twelve months.
The Daikin YEAR app is already available for download from the App Store and Google Play for smartphone and tablet.
