Autogrill is the first multinational to adopt Google Apps for Business solutions in Italy. Autogrill and Google Enterprise have signed a deal to use cloud-based Google Apps for Business to make information-sharing within the company more flexible and instantaneous, anywhere and using any type of device. Autogrill is the first Italian multinational to have integrated Google digital services into its IT systems, making easy-to-use web-based applications, such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive and Google Docs, available to staff. "Google Apps for Business are emblematic of the current changes in business technologies. The key value of the project lies in enabling us to introduce into the Company a platform that was originally designed for consumers. It will revolutionise the way we work and provide our staff with a digital experience in line with the latest trends in the area," declares Daniele Rizzo, Chief Information Officer – Europe, Autogrill. The agreement includes the use of Gmail for emails and Instant Messaging (text chat, voice and video) for staff; Google Calendar, an efficient tool for planning meeting and events; and Google Sites wich will make easier collaboration during the creation and the sharing of web sites. Google Docs, can be used to create, share and save documents and presentations. The Google cloud-based solutions will be introduced initially in the Autogrill network in Italy, and then gradually extended to other European countries. The project will be led by Storm Reply, the Reply Group company specialising in innovative cloud computing-based services, in collaboration with Revevol, a multinational supplier committed to integrating and developing Software as a Service technologies. Storm Reply and Revevol are two of the major system integrators certified by Google in Europe, and experts in project and change management, training, innovation, and the development and integration of Cloud Google solutions. This means that Autogrill will be getting the very best that the market has to offer.
