Basel II ("The New Basel Capital Accord") defines the new regulation to align capital with the risks faced by banks. The main aim is developing standardized risk-based capital requirements for banks across countries.
To comply with the new regulation, the operative processes have to be redesigned and reengineered in terms of efficiency, quality and availability of information. It is necessary to retrieve and treat very many bits of information and also to review and upgrade the present analysis and scoring models. Reply develops innovative models facilitating the system evolution towards the process management, inside or outside the enterprise, integrating the procedures and the applications with no need of re-creation: Services Oriented Architectures represent the enabling factor for a strategic adaptation. One of the main benefits deriving from a SOA is that it can typically enter the world of legacy applications, so making available the already existing and consolidated functionalities in form of services, and thus re-usable inside new processes or to support new channels. The application Business Logic has to be implemented by means of atomic services and independently from the employed platforms. The isolation of technologies allows a progressive system evolution, minimizing their impact on processes, and, at the same time, allows overcoming the typical boundaries of traditional platforms.
Reply proposes strategic approaches based on services oriented architectures to optimize the business logic through process automation and system integration, aiming to aggregate services provided by heterogeneous applications that do not match with the employed technologies and platforms.
