With the support of Riverland Reply METRO SYSTEMS is introducing in a wholesale tailored project Oracle Siebel Order Management. The solution was rolled out in 27 countries within three years. Since its introduction, over 1.3 million orders have been received, processed and delivered using the system.
Metro Cash & Carry, the wholesale division of METRO Group, needed an IT solution for its order processing and delivery service areas. The long-term goal was to extend this solution into a complete CRM solution across the enterprise which flexibly supports the entire customer life cycle and can be used internationally.
After a feasibility study was completed, the company decided to introduce Oracle Siebel Order Management. It supports all key processes such as multi-channel processing, pricing, in-store picking or outbound shipment. Data from other systems such as customer data, article data or prices are integrated within the CRM system.
Riverland Reply supported METRO SYSTEMS in the project. The project started in Germany in June 2008 and in April 2009 Oracle Siebel Order Management was piloted in Germany. By October 2011, the solution was implemented in the 27th country. By September 2011, over 1.3 million orders had already been processed with the new solution.
