On November 28th, SAP Deutschland presented the “SAP Quality Awards 2014” at the SAP Arena in Mannheim. The Excellence Award went jointly to Schott AG and its SAP system integrator Syskoplan Reply in the category HANA INNOVATION. SAP Deutschland conferred the Excellence Award in this category for the first time this year. The decisive criterion for receiving an SAP Quality Award is the successful implementation of SAP solutions in accordance with stipulated quality requirements.
The nominated projects were evaluated using 10 quality principles defined by SAP. The foremost quality objective is project results that generate business value and satisfy the demand for short implementation cycles. Successful SAP implementations are accordingly characterised by good project planning and methodology at a high level of quality, as well as by concentration on quick, efficient implementations that adhere to the SAP standard. Companies are required to determine the project requirements early on through inclusion of all relevant stakeholders and use of organisational change management to transform the business. The project has to be implemented on time, activities and the budget have to be comprehensively documented. Efficient project and risk management ensures the project’s success, and the use of best practices facilitates a rapid go-live.
Schott and Syskoplan Reply were awarded for the jointly implemented SAP CRM on HANA solution. The solution contributes to improving Schott’s competitiveness and to further developing its leading position as a high tech company. Through the international, cross-departmental implementation of the CRM solution, processes, procedures, and tasks could be designed more effectively and efficiently. Overall, this leads to increased transparency and standardisation in sales processes. In-memory technologies such as SAP HANA and innovative gamification methods support Schott in orienting itself even more closely according to its clients’ requirements and achieving more sustainable competitive differentiation.
“We are delighted about receiving the SAP Quality Award 2014 in the category HANA INNOVATION. It is a testimony to the high quality of our joint work and the good collaboration with the entire Schott project team,” said Dr Thomas Hartmann, Executive Partner at Reply. “With its comprehensive expertise in the area of SAP CRM, customer analytics, and SAP HANA, Syskoplan Reply ranks among the top service providers in the SAP environment.
