Seat Pagine Gialle, European leader and one of the main operators at world level in the sector of multimedia profiled advertising and of high-tech products for Internet, chose Reply, a company specialized in the planning and implementation of solutions based on new communication channels and digital media, in order to enhance and make even more innovative its already advanced voice service – 89.24.24 Pronto PagineGialle. The project concerns 89.24.24 Pronto PagineGialle, the advanced and personalized Seat telephone service, able to meet the most different needs. Thanks to Reply, today customers use the 89.24.24 service with the new opportunity to receive also multimedia content via MMS, directly on their mobile devices. In particular, Reply, which had previously developed the platform used by the Seat call center operators, provided a solution enabling 89.24.24 Pronto Pagine Gialle customers to receive detailed information, which further improve the result of the research made by their customer service assistant: images, a brief description of the location or of the activity they were looking for, a featured link to the relative internet site and to an online map to reach it. This is possible by means of GAIA Image Transcoder (GIT), the component developed entirely by Reply and released as open source within the GAIA Reply™ solution. GAIA Reply™ is the innovative service delivery platform developed by Reply, based on a flexible open source framework, that allows the distribution of content and services on different mobile devices. Moreover, in this specific project, GAIA Reply™ directly manages the complexity of routing and of the different protocols and languages used by the numerous radio mobile-phone operators. “An increasing number of customers like and search more interactive contents, to use information in a simple and intuitive way” said Tatiana Rizzante, Managing Director of Reply. “Through this project, Seat Pagine Gialle has surely developed a highly innovative service, enabling us to provide end users with a new way of accessing and using contents”. “892424 has always been an innovative service, able to rapidly meet the evolving habits and needs of our customers, in a very consistent way, and keeping up with the company image of reliability and stability” says Paolo Portioli Marketing Manager of the SEAT Pagine Gialle S.p.A Directory Assistance Department. “The people who call us, increasingly require all the information necessary to choose the economic activity which best meets their needs. The Seat Pagine Gialle multimedia content distribution service is active since last summer and is making a success among Seat customers and advertisers. The next step in the service evolution will be the possibility to provide video contents on customers devices.
