Reply, a leader in innovation and cutting-edge technologies, will launch two initiatives during Italian Tech Week (ITW) 2019, taking place Turin from 24th to 30th June. On 27th June, Reply will host an open day of its IoT laboratories and run the first AWS DeepRacer competition for autonomus driving vehicles in Italy.
With a strong connection to Turin, Reply has its main research centre, focused on IoT, related products and autonomous driving vehicles, based there. Reply also designs, engineers and tests its machine learning and artificial intelligence applications, which are used across Industry 4.0, smart products and connected vehicles, as well as in the Hi Connect proprietary platform for smart homes, at the research centre. Reply’s Test Automation Lab, which companies use ‘as a service’ to automate product and service tests, is also housed at the research centre. To book your visit to the Reply labs, please register at IOTLab.reply.com.
During ITW 2019, Reply will be giving all developers and geek the chance to compete in the first AWS DeepRacer competition for self-driving vehicles in Italy. AWS DeepRacer is a 1/18th scale race car which gives you an interesting way to get started with an advanced machine learning (ML) technique which learns very complex behaviors without requiring any labeled training data. By registering at deepracer.reply.com, entrants can develop and trial their own reinforcement learning model, which can be tested on June 27th by challenging Reply specialists on a real track, at the offices of Via Cardinale Massaia in Turin.
"Reply invests in bringing technology closer to people,” commented Tatiana Rizzante, Reply's CEO, “by promoting a digital culture and the study of coding, robotics and informatics among young people, which will become fundamental in the coming years. Today it’s important to take an active part in the transformation process that we are all experiencing, in both our working and daily lives. This is why we are very pleased to participate in Italian Tech Week, an important initiative for the Italian territory, making our expertise in the field of IoT and artificial intelligence available to all."
