British American Tobacco suffered from the typical challenges that a global organisation could expect around communication and siloed working, but British American Tobacco chose to tackle this challenge head on through moving from Skype for Business to Teams.
British American Tabacco was the first FTSE 100 in the UK to fully migrate from Skype for business to Teams only, shutting down Skype for Business for good, and WM Reply helped them do it.
Through engaging our approach of “Global Lead, local land”, working with Senior Stakeholders and group of 800 champions established by WM, writing and designing emotive communications and materials. We formulated and executed an end to end change campaign that drove adoption across the 6-week batched roll out of Teams across 184 countries, in 16 languages and to 37,000 employees.
The end result of this change campaign was the global adoption of Teams to 85% active usage and a tangible saving to the business of £500k.
