In Data Reply, we are always keen to inspire new generation of data professionals, actively participating in events organised in universities.
Data Bites at City, University of London on 28 November 2019. On 28th November, our data scientists, Ashley Mason and Pavitra Singh, conducted an introductory talk about data and data science to students at City University of London to share their experience as data scientists and answer questions from the students with respect to their career direction after completing their studies. They shared their experience transitioning from university life to the corporate world as well as some of the projects they have been working on as data scientists.
Data Science Challenge at Queen Mary University of London on 13 November 2019.We also participated in Data Science Challenge event at Queen Mary University of London on 13 November. In this event, Data Reply, alongside other leading companies, organised challenges aimed to give students a preview to data science problems that data scientists face in the business. Participating students were given a sample data and were required to extract, clean and visualise the data using different tools. Students had to use basic machine learning models and figure out which one gave the best results, balancing data accuracy and data precision.
We are continuously working with universities to satisfy students’ curiosities, reaching out to students who are always eager for more knowledge and experience.
If you are a member of an academic institution and would like us to participate in any of your events ,please contact us. We will be more than happy to engage and inspire the next generation of data enthusiasts.
