CogX 2019

Data Reply attended the festival of AI and emerging technology at CogX London 2019. Aimed to inform, entertain and excite the industry, government and wider society about the opportunities that AI and emerging technology will deliver, the event catalyses everyone inside and those interested in the AI world into action about the challenges faced in shaping AI and emerging technology solutions for business, societal and environmental benefit.

There were 10 stages over the span of three days where a community of over 500 industry, government, and academic experts covered AI's most important topic areas:

  • Impact: Leaders look at the future of AI and emerging technology to explore the impact on industry, government and society.
  • Innovation, Investment and the Economy: Investors, economists and founders explore how AI is changing financial services, the economy and investing strategies.
  • Web3.0: Web3.0 combines blockchain and AI to safeguard individual privacy, while giving birth to a new generation of businesses.
  • Cutting Edge>: Diving into the AI hardware, software and wetware that will change the nature of science in the next 5-10 years.
  • Ethics: How do we deploy AI responsibly? What are the unintended consequences and what values do we need to uphold?
  • The Alan Turing Research Stage: The Alan Turing Institute gathers academics and researchers to discuss developments from labs across the globe.
  • Lab to Live: Tales from the commercial frontiers of AI, where proofs of concept become case studies and predictions become results.
  • Future of Work and Education: AI transforms how we work, learn and develop. How can HR executives embrace new tools? And how will they change education?
  • Health:How AI is changing healthcare.
  • Canal: How AI is changing our planet, our cities and society today and tomorrow
