Yard Management is the module used for the management, handling and monitoring of vehicles in the yard. The key features of this module are: the map, trucks, trailers and tasks.
The map is the tool that defines the yard structure in terms of type of area (gates, yard, bays, etc.) and location. The map can be displayed graphically in 2D or 3D format. It shows available locations and trailer status and stackability using graphics and colour condition. Another major advantage of the map is its interactivity: the map can be used to perform a series of useful actions for process execution, for example calling trailers parked in the yard to the dock doors.
The system analyses all trucks/trailers that enter the yard, displaying information such as the current, previous and next position and the trailer’s load status (full/empty). The analysis of trailers located in the yard also provides information about their load (transport documents and articles).
Tasks can be used to track all vehicle movements inside the yard. These can be performed by vehicles entering the yard or by internal resources responsible for movements (switchers), for example from a parking location to the loading/unloading bays.
The system manages different scenarios for vehicles entering and leaving the yard, such as:
Tasks can be performed via web tools, RF or mobile device and their progress can be monitored. Mobile features can also be used in both online and offline mode.
